Arriving ashore somewhere new often raises many questions for even the most experienced sailor: Where are the best peaceful harbours and marinas to stop? What are the nearest shops and where can I find facilities, fuel and help with repairs? How do I keep the family entertained and where are the best museums nearby? Where can I find the tastiest cheese in Gouda, or authentic stroopwafel bakery? Where is the most delicious chocolate workshop, and where can I watch a clog being made by a traditional shore maker? Sailors need a different kind of pilot guide after arrival and this book is their shore-side companion, helping them to explore and enjoy all the Netherlands has to offer.
